Gauff and Djokovic are once again at the top of SportsPro’s list of the 50 Most Marketable Athletes, which includes eight tennis players.
SportsPro’s 50 Most Marketable Athletes of 2024 list Coco Gauff and Novak Djokovic as the two most marketable tennis players globally for the second consecutive year.
The 15th edition of the esteemed yearly list features eight players, with 24-time Grand Slam champion Djokovic and 2023 US Open winner Gauff ranking first and 18 in tennis, respectively. They were ranked No. 11 and No. 12, respectively, in the SportsPro list from the previous year.
The “now generation” of tennis dominates the standings, with the exception of 37-year-old Djokovic and 38-year-old Rafael Nadal (No. 34), who is scheduled to retire at the end of the current campaign.
It has multi-surface and multi-platform phenoms like Gauff and Carlos Alcaraz (No. 29) in addition to well-known stars like Naomi Osaka (No. 48) and Aryna Sabalenka (No. 38).
These young tennis stars are extending their digital dominance by advertising their brands where their followers consume the most material, such as on social media platforms like TikTok and Alcaraz’s impending Netflix documentary.
An even more concerning trend is that, for the second consecutive year and only the third time since SportsPro began its thorough evaluation of athlete marketability in 2010, no tennis player has made the Top 10.
