Australian player Margaret court is considered to be the greatest of all time in tennis by many experts because she holds some the unbelievable records.
Court holds the record of the greatest number of grand slams wins which is 24 and is still the highest in male or female. She has also won 19 grand slam titles in doubles and 21 in mixed doubles. With total of 64 grand slam titles when combined court holds the grandest slam titles in tennis in male or female.
Court is also famous for introducing weight training in tennis that’s why his career was less with the injuries but some experts does not consider court as the greatest of all time because she mostly plays in preopen era of tennis and also in Australian open when famous players used to skip that tournament. 4. Chris Evert
Chris Evert was popularly known as ‘Cinderella in sneakers ‘. Evert had a total of 18 grand slam singles titles. Evert had an outstanding win percentage of 90%.

3. Martina Navratilova
During the late 1970s Chris Evert and Martina Navratilova were arch rivals on field but they were friends off field. This battle between two greats last up to almost one decade. Then after 1980s she got a younger rival Steffi Graf.
In a 32-year long career of Martina, she won 18 grand slam titles including a record of 9 Wimbledon titles which is highest by any male or female. After quitting tennis in 1994 at the age of 38 Martina came back in 2000 for her doubles career, she won 31 doubles grand slam titles and 10 in mixed doubles.
The left-handed was originally from Czechoslovakia but later went to United States. She got many records after her, Martina’s 167 career singles titles and 177 in doubles are most by any tennis player in history. She also owns the longest ever winning streak in tennis, at 74 matches. She was one of the best to ever play the game.
2. Steffi Graf
Ending the era of Chris Evert and Martina Navratilova in 1980s a 17-year-old girl came from West Germany to break all the records of the game. She was player of all courts 1988 was the year when Steffi won all four majors in a year while she was still the teenager at that time. Steffi’s greatest record was to won all the majors and Olympic gold in same year and got the golden slam which was never repeated.

Graf won seven Wimbledon, six French, five US and four Australian open titles which made her the queen of all the courts with total of 22 grand slam singles title she was undisputed champion.
She retired at the age of 30 and won only one grand slam doubles. She does not have a long career like Martina and Chris but than also she had great stats than the two legends. She does not have a successful career in doubles but when it comes to singles, she has many records. Many experts think that there has to be a tie between Steffi and Serena but after winning Australian open in 2017 at age of 35 Serena ends this debate. She is mainly concentrated on her serves she is the kind of player who used to take the first points and to dominate the rallies.
She has a total of 23 grand slam titles which is highest in the open era of tennis by any male or female, and she is only 1 title behind from Margaret Court to break her record of 24 titles.
With 23 singles, 14 doubles and one mixed double grand slam titles she had an amazing record. Her career can be divided in two parts during the time of 2002 to 2003 she introduced herself to the world but the golden period of her career was in 2015 to 2016 in which she won 10 major titles in the age of 30.
At 30 many tennis stars started taking retirement but on the other hand Serena was going towards her second golden period of her career. She even lifted a cup when she was 8 weeks pregnant.
