Here is the biography of silver medalist Ravi Kumar Dahiya
Ravi Kumar Dahiya is an Indian wrester born on 12 December 1997 in Nahari village of Sonipat district of Haryana. His father’s name is Rakesh Dahiya and he has won many international medals till now.
Career
Ravi wanted to do wrestling, but the financial condition of his family was not so good. Despite this, his family members fully supported him in becoming a successful person.
The 23 year old took his wrestling training at Chhatrasal Stadium in Delhi, which is known as the school of wrestling in the whole country. Satpal Singh and Virender Kumar are the coaches of Ravi Dahiya.
Ravi Kumar won the silver medal in the Junior World Championship in the year 2015. In the Senior Nationals Games held in 2017, he reached the semi-finals, but he had to be out due to injury.

Dahiya won the bronze medal by defeating Asian champion Reeza Atrinagharchi in the World Championships. In 2018, he won the silver medal in the Under 23 World Championship.
Tokyo Olympics
At the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Ravi Dahiya defeated Kazakh wrestler and reached the finals in the 57 kg Wrestling event. A pictures of his Kazakh opponent biting him and trying to win the match by unfair means surfaced on the internet.

In the final, Russian wrestler Zavur Uguev registered a 7-4 win against Ravi. In this process, Dahiya was awarded with the silver medal.
