Lovlina Borgohain is an Indian female boxer born on 2 October 1997. She was fond of boxing since childhood. Her father’s name is Tiken Borgohain and mother is Mamoni Borgohain.
Lovlina hails from the Golaghat district of Assam. She won bronze medal at the 2018 AIBA Women’s World Boxing Championships and the 2019 AIBA Women’s World Boxing Championships.
Not only this but she has won gold medal at 1st India Open International Boxing Tournament held in New Delhi and silver medal at 2nd India Open International Boxing Tournament held in Guwahati.
Lovlina secured 3rd rank in the 69 kg Welterweight category. She has become the first woman from Assam to qualify for the Olympics and the second boxer from the state to represent the country after Shiva Thapa.
