Ajith was born in Hyderabad and is the son of P. Subramaniam and Mohini Kumar, who is from Kolkata. After meeting actress Shalini Kumar on the set of Amarkalam in 1999, Ajith Kumar began dating her. After receiving her parents’ approval, the actor proposed to Shalini in June 1999, and the two were married in Chennai in April 2000. The couple has two children: a son named Aadvik was born in March 2015, and a daughter named Anoushka was born in January 2008.

Actor Ajith Kumar is now in Dubai to compete in the 24H Dubai 2025, popularly known as the Dubai 24 Hours race. Ajith’s automobile collided with the barriers during the practice session for the six-hour endurance test, just a few minutes before the test ended.
Along with his three teammates, Cameron McLeod, Fabian Duffieux, and Mathieu Detry, Ajith, who owns the racing team Ajith Kumar Racing, was scheduled to compete in the fiercely competitive race. For those who don’t know, in December of last year, Fabian Duffieux became the new team manager for Ajith Kumar Racing.
His car crashes against the barrier and spins seven times in the video that his team published. After that, he was saved and brought to an ambulance.
His manager, Suresh Chandra, provided an update on the actor’s condition. “Ajith is unhurt, hale and healthy. He was driving at a speed of 180 kmph when this happened,” he shared.
Ajith is well-known for his love of driving and motorcycling in addition to his acting profession. The actor had been preparing for the marathon with his squad, which he headed. In order to complete the race, the team must drive in a relay for 24 hours, with each member driving for six hours. Ajith had only a few minutes left to finish his six hours.
