Kevin Durant is widely considered one of the greatest players of his generation. He was born on September 29, 1988 in Washington, D.C. and grew up in Maryland. Durant is best known for his time with the Oklahoma City Thunder, where he spent the first nine years of his career.
There he established himself as one of the top players in the league. Golden State Warriors were the ones with whom he won two NBA championships.
Durant had a standout high school basketball career, earning numerous awards and accolades. He was once named the National High School Player of the Year.
After high school, he decided to forgo college and enter the NBA draft. There he was selected second overall by the Seattle SuperSonics (now the Oklahoma City Thunder) in 2007.
Early Career
In his rookie season with the Thunder, Durant was named the Rookie of the Year. Over the next few years he continued to improve, leading the team to the playoffs each year.

Mid Career
In 2016, after nine years with the Thunder, Durant made the decision to join the Golden State Warriors. The move was however met with controversy and criticism.
Despite the criticism, Durant had a successful first season with the Warriors. He led the team to the NBA championship and won the Finals MVP award. He went on to win another championship with the Warriors the following year and continued to play at a high level.
