Zinedine Zidane is expected to become next Manchester United manager
Manchester United can sack Ole Gunnar Solskjaer anytime. He was expected to be sacked after losing to Manchester City in the Premier League but was told to wait until the next game.
The club is now trying to sign Cristiano Ronaldo’s former manager Zinedine Zidane. They both played the most important role in Real Madrid’s invincible years when they won three UCLs in a row.
“The confidence that a player needs doesn’t only come from himself but also from the players around him and the coach,” Ronaldo said of Zidane in 2019.
“You need to feel like you are an important part of the group and Zidane made me feel special.
“He helped me a lot. I already had a lot of respect for him but working with him made me admire him more.
“That’s because of what he’s like as a person, how he talks, how he led the team and how he treated me.”
The Portuguese has told the club management that he would like to work with Zidane again. Both these legends are so close to each other, not to mention they are one of the greatest players at their positions.
The 49-year-old won three Champions League and two La Liga titles as a coach. He is one of the best-tactical managers to have ever managed a football club.
