The situation at Newcastle United, where coach Eddie Howe might be under pressure, is apparently being monitored by the Portuguese coach’s representatives.
Jose Mourinho, the former coach of Manchester United, Chelsea, and Tottenham Hotspur, is rumoured to be considering a comeback to the Premier League, where he says he has “unfinished business.”
The Portuguese coach is reportedly aiming for the managerial position at Newcastle United in the event that current incumbent Eddie Howe departs the Tyneside team, according to a report in The Guardian.
According to the British publication, Mourinho has been in communication with Newcastle chairman Yasir al-Rumayyan since they first met at the Saudi Arabian F1 Grand Prix in March. His agents are contacting the club and middlemen to keep them informed about a possible position at the club.
Howe is Newcastle’s first manager under the new Saudi ownership, and he led the team to Champions League qualification in his first season.
However, pressure is rising on the British coach after they finished seventh in the Premier League last year and haven’t impressed much this season, sitting in 11th place after 10 games.
Mourinho is now Fenerbahce’s coach in Turkey. After leaving England to join Roma in Serie A, the 61-year-old was fired by the team in the Italian capital last year and moved to Turkey at the beginning of this season.
Fenerbahce is now in third place in the league, five points behind leaders and rivals Galatasaray, as a result of their poor performance. They also missed out on Champions League qualification earlier this year.

As an alternative, Mourinho has been using charm when speaking, and his remarks are frequently shared on social media and in the media.
His remarks about Manchester United prior to his team’s Europa League matchup with his old team made headlines both domestically and internationally.
Jose’s most recent tirade about VAR and officiating in the Turkish league following their 3-2 victory over Trabzonspor on Sunday was also extremely critical of Turkish football in general.
