Everton would sell James Rodriguez if price is right
James Rodriguez future’s is uncertain on Merseyside and spoke about needing to play where he is wanted only last week. The 30 year old is the highest paid player in Everton’s history.
However, the Colombian international would be allowed to leave Everton if the right deal is presented to the ‘Toffees’.
James arrived at Goodison Park on a free transfer last summer and signed a two-year deal with them. He reunited for a third time with his beloved manager Carlo Ancelotti.
Indeed, Carlo Ancelotti’s departure to Real Madrid earlier this summer has made Rodriguez to become unsettle again.
Rodriguez said on his Twitch account: “I would like to play wherever they want me, I already played in all the leagues; I am missing Italy, it would be a good option.”
It means that any club will have to play a suitable price for the mid-fielder. If Ancelotti would want to bring James back, Madrid will have to do the same thing.
Nevertheless, James is expected to feature in Everton’s final pre-season game against Manchester United on Saturday at Old Trafford.
