Isco is reportedly on a move to Barcelona
Isco’s contract with Real Madrid is going to expire next summer. He is reportedly pursuing for his rival club Barcelona, forcing Madrid to let him go for free next year.
The midfielder was once counted in one of the best players in the world. However, his form has declined in recent years putting him not even in the top 10 midfielders in the world at present.
Catalan outlet El Nacional, published by Sportskeeda, reported that Isco’s priority is clear and he is keen for a move to the Camp No. If the deal happens, it would be the first time that a player has moved between the two clubs in more than 14 years.
Javier Saviola was the last player to make a free transfer from Barcelona to Real Madrid.
The Spanish international is disgruntled with the club as he is lacking the playing time, and unfounded rumours that his chemistry has fallen out with his teammates. Moreover, he is reportedly willing to pay out of his own pocket for the move.
In his long spell for Los Blancos, the 29-year-old has scored 52 goals and registered 56 assists in 342 appearances. He is indeed one of the best players in the club’s history.
