With Portugal set to host the 2030 FIFA World Cup, Cristiano Ronaldo might be looking forward to participate in it.
Nani, a former Manchester United colleague, has supported Cristiano Ronaldo’s decision to play for Portugal in the 2030 FIFA World Cup. Morocco, Portugal, and Spain will host the tournament.
According to Nani, Ronaldo will begin a unique diet that will help him stay in shape until the 2030 World Cup so he can compete.
Ronaldo, who is 39, plays for Al-Nassr, a Saudi Arabian team. The player hasn’t made any retirement-related references thus far. It’s unclear what will happen, but he might be healthy enough to play for the Selecao in the 2026 World Cup.
Cristiano will be forty-one by then, though, and the manager’s willingness to choose the five-time Ballon d’Or winner for the competition at that age will also depend on his decision.
In addition, he will be 45 during the 2030 World Cup. He might tie the record for being the oldest player to compete if he does take part. Essam El-Hadary of Egypt is currently in possession of it. According to his former countryman, Ronaldo can play in the 2030 World Cup. Nani stated:
“Will Cristiano play in the 2030 World Cup? I have no doubts, he will. Cristiano Ronaldo will start a special diet to participate in the 2030 World Cup in Portugal.”
Ronaldo has not won any of the five World Cups in which he has competed thus far. When Portugal advanced to the semi-final of the 2006 World Cup, the striker nearly won the tournament the last time. However, France won the game and eliminated them.

Since then, Ronaldo’s long-time adversary Lionel Messi has won the tournament in 2022, while Portugal has not progressed further.
Seeing the former Real Madrid player participate in the 2030 World Cup will be difficult. He may, however, have the opportunity to compete in the 2026 competition, where he could have one final chance to take home the trophy.
