Spain national team has announced its squad for the upcoming 2024 UEFA Euro qualifiers
The team for Spain’s forthcoming qualifiers against Cyprus and Georgia has been confirmed by manager Luis de la Fuente. Lamine Yamal has been called up to the senior squad after making a young side.
Yamal is expected to make his national team debut after making his first start for Barcelona in August. He has previously represented the Spanish U19 team.
During the most recent international break, Spain won the UEFA Nations League final. They will play their third qualifying match for Euro 2024.
The Spanish squad defeated Norway 3-0 in the first encounter. Spain was defeated 2-0 in the second encounter thanks to two goals from Scott McTominay.
On September 8, they will play Georgia at the Boris Paitchadze Dinamo Arena. Georgia is second in the group after three matches.
Spain will play Cyprus in their fourth Euro 2024 qualifier at Granada’s Nuevo Estadio de Los Cármenes. Cyprus is at the bottom of the table.
In the qualifications, the Spanish team scored three goals. Joselu scored twice in the second half after coming off the bench. The other goal was scored by Dani Olmo. Both players have made the team.
