There are now 38 players competing for a position in the final Switzerland Euro 2024 squad.
Manager Murat Yakin has picked 38 players in his tentative team for the Switzerland Euro 2024 squad, which will compete against a formidable opponent at the tournament in Germany this summer.
Switzerland is hoping to cause further upsets in this summer’s event after eliminating France from the previous edition of the Euros on penalties in the round of 16.
Even though they were eliminated by Spain in the quarterfinals, this experience gave their team more confidence going into Euro 2024.
While the Swiss managed to qualify with four wins, five draws, and one loss, it could have been much easier. The Switzerland Euro 2024 team has a ton of experience, so there’s no reason they can’t work their magic in Germany.
This season, Xhaka has excelled for Bayer Leverkusen domestically. If he can carry that form into international play, they will be well-served.
But maybe the Euro 2024 groups could have treated them a little better. They will need to perform at the highest level if they hope to advance to the knockout stages because their first three Group A matches are against Scotland, Hungary, and their host Germany. They can definitely accomplish that, as they have done the last two times.
