Phil Foden (Full Name – Philip Walter Foden) is an English footballer born on 28th May, 2000 in Stockport, United Kingdom. He was raised by his father Phil Foden Snr and mother Claire Foden. He has a younger sister (name not mentioned).

Childhood

Foden’s journey in professional football started when he won the FIFA U-17 World Cup Golden Ball for his amazing performance.

He is Manchester City’s youngest-ever goalscorer in the UEFA Champions League. When he was 5, he started developing his football skills.

Phil completed his schooling from the St. Bede’s College whose fees were paid by Manchester City itself.

Career

He was signed by Manchester City’s academy in July 2016. In the same year, he was called for the UEFA Champions League but remained as a substitute.

In 2017, he made his UCL debut against Feyenoord. He became the fourth-youngest player to make an appearance in the UCL.

In the same year, he became the youngest English Player to debut in a UCL match. In 2019, he scored his first goal for Man City against Rotherham United in the FA Cup.

At the age of 18, Phil netted his first Premier League goal against Tottenham Hotspur. The 20 year old became the third-youngest player for the Man City to score in the PL after Micah Richards.

Phil started playing for his national team as a part of its Under-17 squad.

Just like Neymar, Phil became a father at the age of 18 only. His girlfriend Rebecca cooke gave birth to a baby boy in 2019.
