Gerard Moreno (Full Name – Gerard Moreno Balagueró) is a Spanish forward born on 7 April, 1992 in Santa Perpètua de Mogoda, Spain. His father’s name is Didac Moreno.
Childhood
Gerard grew up with his younger brother in Catalonia. He always wanted to become a professional football player.
Moreno injured himself in his childhood when he was playing the beautiful game with his friends. He had 27 stitches all over his face.
Career
In 2010, Gerard joined Villarreal CF from local CF Badalona. He made his debut with the reserves against Rayo Vallecano on 5 March, 2011 .
On 10 December 2011, Moreno scored his first professional goal as a second division player against Xerex CD.
In 2012, He played his first official game for Villarreal against Elche CF. On 25 January 2013, he scored his first goal for Villarreal against CE Sabadell FC.
On 8 July 2013, second tier club ‘RCD Mallorca’ signed Gerard on loan. He subsequently returned to Villarreal, being definitely promoted to the first team now in La Liga.
On 14 September 2014, Moreno made his debut in La Liga against Granada CF. He scored his first goal in the competition against SD Eibar.
In 2015, Gerard signed a five-year deal with RCD Espanyol. On 23 January, he scored against his former team. He returned to Villarreal in 2018, agreeing to a five-year contract.
Moreno made his senior debut for Spain on 15 October 2019 against Sweden in the UEFA Euro 2020 qualifiers. He scored his first goal against Malta.

Gerard married to his long time girlfriend Nuria Moreno in 2018. The couple has two daughters, Melissa Moreno and Marta Moreno.
