Sergio Aguero thinks Lionel Messi could win Premier League with Inter Miami.
According to a close friend of the Argentine, MLS club Inter Miami can win the Premier League with FC Barcelona idol and “GOAT” Lionel Messi.
The club, owned by David Beckham and Jorge Mas, has seen a sharp turnaround in its fortunes since Messi decided to leave Barcelona in favour of joining Paris Saint-Germain as he approached free agency last summer.
With 20 games played in the 2024 season, Inter Miami leads the MLS’ Eastern Conference with Messi winning the first trophy for a trophy-less team.
The influence of the eight-time Ballon d’Or winner is evident to all, and number 10 may also help Miami dominate England, according to Aguero, one of Messi’s closest friends who won what is regarded as the hardest domestic championship five times at Manchester City.
“I think they would win the league. They have Messi that is the GOAT, and with him, even winning the Premier is possible,” Aguero stated.

Messi is being joined in the United States by now-retired Aguero and the Argentina squad, which begins its defence of the 2021 Copa America title against Canada on Thursday in Atlanta.
But when La Albiceleste plays Peru in their last Group A match, Aguero anticipates that Lionel Scaloni’s team will face a “big expat community” of Argentinians and “many other Latin Americans who support our side” in Miami.
