Sergi Roberto broke into tears after losing to Bayern Munich
Bayern Munich defeated Barcelona 0-3 to show their dominance over the Camp Nou again. Barca are in much worse condition than their previous campaign.
Sergi Roberto could be the most frustrated player on the pitch. He wasn’t looking in a good condition which could be seen in his gameplay.
Roberto was one of the players who created history in 2017 as Barca defeated PSG 6-5 in an unbelievable comeback. However, he was booed by his own fans after getting subbed off in 59th minute against Bayern.
The Spanish midfielder was so heartbroken that he cried in the dressing room after the final whistle. Even Gerard Pique failed to lift his spirits.
Pique said: “It hurts me a lot personally because I know this person, he’s a spectacular human being and he loves this club more than anybody.
“I’d like to remind people also that he’s not a full-back… he’s a central player, a midfielder. He’s made a sacrifice to play this position and he’s done it phenomenally many times.
“It hurts a lot but the people are free to voice their opinions but if you ask me personally, it hurts a lot.”
More surprising fact is that Ronaldo Koeman’s team didn’t have a single shot on target. They had Memphis Depay and Lukk De Jong in their attack but couldn’t manage to create serious opportunities.
