Only the team’s collective effort has allowed Barcelona to have such an incredible start to the season.

However, among the many participants in Hansi Flick’s schemes, Robert Lewandowski is among the most significant. The striker, who was far from stellar in the previous campaign, looks revitalized and tops the league in scored goals.

The veteran, who is now on international duty, is fully recovered and ready to go. Over the next two weeks, he will play for the side against Scotland and Croatia.

The Pichichi leader was questioned by the media while representing the Polish National Team and was asked what had changed under Hansi Flick to help the team perform so much better together on the pitch than it had the previous year.

“It’s something different, it shows, we didn’t have a game like this last season,” he started, admitting via SPORT that there was a stark change.

“As Hansi said from the beginning, he wants to create an offensive team that generates opportunities, scores many goals and that presses well,” he added on the new manager’s approach.

Lewandowski declined to comment too much on the team’s excellent start, saying that consistency would be more important and that it was still early in the game.

“We started well, sometimes we stumble and sometimes we get it right but the season is long, many things can still happen.”
