Apple and Real Madrid are negotiating the creation of a customised Vision Pro headset. Football fans will be able to feel the stadium-like ambiance of live games with the aid of this headgear. Florentino Perez, the club’s president, endorsed the concept.
At the most recent club meeting on November 22, Florentino Perez said that Real Madrid and Apple are collaborating to create a special augmented reality headset.
The goal is to enable supporters to take in the ambiance of the Santiago Bernabeu stadium while watching season matches. However, supporters find it challenging to visit the stadium because of the high demand and limited number of tickets available.
Real Madrid is investigating the “Infinite Santiago Bernabeu” concept, which will allow football fans to watch live games in augmented reality. According to Perez, the club is in talks with Apple to create augmented reality spectacles.
With the latest renovations, Real Madrid’s home stadium, Santiago Bernabeu, can now accommodate 80,000 spectators. Nevertheless, considering the club’s enormous popularity, this is still insufficient to serve every supporter.
Whether Apple has approved the request or not is not confirmed. It may take some time for both parties to reach a decision because the idea is still up for discussion.
It is important to note that the Vision Pro has not been as successful as Apple had hoped. Despite being one of the most sophisticated AR headsets available, demand has been far lower. If the Real Madrid partnership materialises, it might provide Vision Pro with much-needed momentum.
