Paris Saint Germain want €150 million in exchange of their star player Neymar
Last season, Paris Saint-Germain featured one of the world’s most deadly attacking combinations. With Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe, and Neymar Jr uniting in Paris, it appeared that no one could stop them from conquering the world.
One year later, the Parisians have reached the other extreme of the luxury spectrum. Messi departed the club for the MLS, while Mbappe is close to joining Real Madrid but has been left out of Luis Enrique’s team.
According to SPORT, PSG and Neymar Jr have agreed that it is better for them to part ways. If the Brazilian follows Messi and Mbappe in leaving, Barcelona will be a strong contender.
The Ligue 1 winners have set a price of €150 million for the superstar’s move, according to the outlet. They would be open to negotiating a loan move with a buy option as well.
However, as things stand, Barcelona would be unable to satisfy the €150 million estimate. Due to the Brazilian superstar’s hefty earnings, even a loan move would be financially onerous.
As a result, the Barcelona offices, according to rumors earlier this week, are exploring an intriguing idea to overcome the financial barriers in Neymar’s signing.
The superagent, Pini Zahavi, is working on a proposal that would see the 31-year-old sign with a Saudi Arabian club this summer before being loaned to Barcelona for a year.

The Saudi club will pay a portion of his wage, which may make the deal affordable for the Blaugrana, but the player must agree to return to the Middle East and play there after his loan stay at Barcelona ends.
Xavi On Neymar’s Homecoming Rumours
Barcelona manager Xavi has been lobbying the board to bring in a big name this summer. However, he has not been totally supportive of Neymar’s comeback.
The PSG star does not fit into the Spanish tactician’s plans in Catalonia, and he believes his time as a Barcelona player is done.
With the president and manager at odds, it remains to be seen whether Barcelona pursues his signature. Interestingly, when asked about the Brazilian’s inclusion after yesterday night’s game, Xavi did not rule it out.
According to rumours, Neymar is set to return to FC Barcelona. Xavi was asked about the return of the Brazilian during a press conference.
“I can’t say anything on names and options,” Xavi said. “Same for Neymar. We will see what we can do from today until August 31. I can’t advance anything about names.”
