Paris Saint Germain are reportedly ready to file a complaint against Real Madrid over this allegation
Paris Saint-Germain are apparently preparing to increase tensions with Real Madrid by filing a formal protest with FIFA on their pursuit of Kylian Mbappe.
Real Madrid has long shown a desire to make Mbappe the next jewel of their assault. Mbappe is at odds with PSG because he refuses to sign a contract extension, which means he will be a free agent at the conclusion of the season.
However, the Telegraph reports that PSG is evaluating whether Real Madrid’s behavior – PSG is believed to be persuaded that their player already has an agreement in place to join them – warrants a formal complaint to FIFA.
If Mbappe joins Real Madrid as a free agent next summer, he might command a massive signing-on fee of around £138 million.
Importantly, if Real Madrid and Mbappe had already reached a deal, it would violate FIFA’s guidelines. They would be breaking the law if they approached a player without first obtaining permission from his existing squad, in this case, PSG.
The French club is apparently even more concerned that anything is going on with Real Madrid after Mbappe refused to speak to Al-Hilal, who had a world record £259 million proposal approved by the French champions.

The World Cup winner signed a new contract with PSG last summer, looking to commit his future to the club until 2025.
While the contract was advertised as a three-year deal, it was only for two years, with Mbappe having the option to extend into an additional season.
A Monday night deadline passed without him signing the deal, which means he will be out of contract in 2024. PSG is desperate not to lose him for nothing, so the question now is whether Mbappe will dig in and go away on free in a year’s time.
There has been discussion of a loan to Liverpool, which manager Jurgen Klopp has already dismissed, and rumors in Spain have linked Barcelona.
Chelsea fans were wondering if they were in the running for the Frenchman, who scored a hat-trick in the most recent World Cup final, when Enzo Fernandez made a remark about him during a pre-season trophy lift.
PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi is adamant about not letting their prize asset depart for free next summer, therefore all of those teams are debating whether they should strike now for a fee or risk a bidding battle in a year’s time.
“My position is very clear,’ Al-Khelaifi said earlier this month. ‘I don’t want to repeat it every time: if Kylian wants to stay, we want him to stay. But he needs to sign a new contract.
‘We don’t want to lose the best player in the world for free, we can’t do that. This is a French club.
‘He said he would never leave for free. If he changes his mind today, it’s not my fault. We don’t want to lose the best player in the world for free, that’s very clear.”
