Tom Brady has revealed his thoughts about arguably the greatest debate in sports history, that is, who is the GOAT of football?!
When IShowSpeed visited with NFL icon Tom Brady, the question was for him to select between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. Numerous celebrities attended Dana White’s Power Slap event in Las Vegas, including social media icons Kai Cenat, Adin Ross, and Speed.
Not to mention NFL legend Tom Brady, who attended the pregame festivities before Super Bowl 58, which will be held at Allegiant Stadium. And the former quarterback for the New England Patriots ran across Speed, who posed the age-old query in football.
Brady responded to Speed’s question about which of Ronaldo and Messi to choose with a contentious response. Take a look at it below:
This is because, in his own words, “I can’t pick between them two,” he declined to choose between the two football icons.
Cenat, Ross, and Speed gasped in frustration at his response. But Brady requested Speed the opposite—that is, he mimicked Ronaldo’s signature “Siuu” celebration—in response.
Brady was a friend of Ronaldo’s from his second stint at Manchester United.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner finally got to meet the American after Man United defeated Tottenham 3-2 in March 2022—a game in which he scored three goals.
He recalled his chat with the seven-time Super Bowl champion and stated: “Psychology, see? I thought he [Brady] took the decision [retirement reversal] a few weeks before. We spoke in general. He’s a very, very smart guy, he knows a lot about football.
“We had a nice conversation. He gave me good energy. When you have another GOAT, it’s energy. It’s all about energy. When you have good energy around you, I can do interesting things.”
Brady spoke highly of Messi in 2022, despite the fact that he was unable to decide between the Argentine and Ronaldo.
“I love Messi,” he revealed. “He is a great player; however, I am a little older than him. I love soccer, I’ve watched it for a long time and I’m not old enough to have watched Maradona, that’s probably for previous generations. I admire him, he’s a great athlete.”
