Newcastle defeated Fulham 1-0 in their recent match in the Premier League. Edie Howe spoke about their form and how they have been improving since the start of the season.
“We’ve improved from the start of the season to now,” said Howe after full-time. “There’s still more growth in the team to come. I’m very pleased with the players’ commitment and what they’ve delivered but the challenge only gets harder.”
Kieran Trippier also talked about his team’s situation.
“We’re absolutely delighted with the position we’re in,” Trippier said. “We’ve worked extremely hard all season, but we’ve not done anything yet. We can’t take our foot off the gas because this league is relentless. We need to keep doing what we’re doing.”
Newcastle haven’t won a single Premier League title in their history yet but this season, this year is different. They are doing all good with their start player Miguel Almiron in front, not to mention he is the second highest goalscorer in the league this season.
