Manchester United could use Jadon Sancho to secure one of their top targets, according to reports.
Sancho has been surplus to requirements at United since publicly criticizing Erik ten Hag during the defeat to Arsenal in September.
The England international has been accused of not doing his fair share in training, which Sancho denied. His failure to apologize resulted in his expulsion from the first team.
The former Manchester City youth star looks set to leave after being linked with a late summer move to the Saudi Pro League.
And, according to BILD, a return to Borussia Dortmund is possible.
Prior to joining United for £73 million, he became one of Germany’s most lethal attacking players, scoring 19 goals in 26 Bundesliga games in 2020/21.
Dortmund are said to be interested in reuniting with the former No.7 and are willing to engage in a swap deal that would send Donyell Malen in the opposite direction.
The Dutch international, who began his career at Arsenal, joined Dortmund from PSV in 2021 and has made 84 appearances, scoring 23 goals.
Malen has been connected with Liverpool, but he is also admired by Erik ten Hag, with whom he shares the SEG agency.
The 24-year-old is thought to be interested in moving to England, therefore the stars appear to be aligning for a transfer. He could be available for roughly £26 million, the same price Dortmund paid for him.
Sancho, on the other hand, will have to take a significant pay cut if he is to return to Signal Iduna Park.
