Under new manager Arne Slot, Liverpool has enjoyed an incredible start to the season, but there’s a reason why no one has ever accomplished the quadruple.
This time last year, we were discussing the same topic, and as everyone knows, it didn’t work out as planned because Liverpool only won one title during Jurgen Klopp’s final season in charge of the team.
However, this season is completely different; Liverpool is playing considerably better under Slot, and the teams surrounding them haven’t been nearly as reliable as they were a year ago. For the majority of the season, the Reds have dominated the Premier League and Champions League standings, losing only once in the two leagues.
That loss occurred in September when Nuno Espirito Santo’s team defeated them 1-0 at home against Nottingham Forest. They lost 1-0 at Tottenham in the first leg of the League Cup semi-final a week ago, which is their only other loss to date, but you wouldn’t rule out them overcoming the deficit when they play again in three weeks.
Football betting companies have reduced the Merseysiders’ odds of winning four trophies, which began the season at 2500/1, to 66/1. The quadruple is back in place.
Liverpool’s trophy odds
For Liverpool to end the season without winning any trophies, something would need to drastically alter, but we all know how rapidly things can change in football, and Slot is definitely not going to take anything for granted just yet.
They would advance to the League Cup final on March 16 if they could overturn that one-goal deficit in their semi-final second leg against Spurs next month. With the second leg at St. James’ Park still to come, the Magpies lead the match 2-0 and would face either Newcastle or Arsenal.

Liverpool was the first team to guarantee their spot in the knockout stages, as they currently lead the Champions League table with a maximum of 18 points from their six games played. You wouldn’t bet against them accumulating the most points in their final two games, which are against Lille and PSV Eindhoven.
After that, Liverpool can unwind until March and focus on the other leagues before returning to Champions League action on March 4–5. The key to any success is the adage of taking each game as it comes prioritizing the next one, oh, and hoping for no injuries or loss of form!
