Lionel Messi has reportedly won his 7th Ballon d’Or
The 2021 Ballon D’Or ceremony will take place on November 29. Robert Lewandowski and Lionel Messi are the top racers for the award.
Lionel Messi has however reportedly won his 7th Ballon d’Or, that he will be given on 29th November. This may sounds impossible for some football fans but this could be true.
According to RTP Desporto, France Football reportedly informed the 34-year-old this week that he has claimed the award for the record 7th time.
Football fans are wondering over this rumour, not to mention they are expecting Robert Lewandowski to lift the award. He would have won his first Ballon d’or in 2020 but the ceremony was cancelled due to COVID-19.
Everyone have different opinions, including some legends like Luis Suarez and Rivaldo. Suarez, in fact, is ready to give his Ballon d’Or to Lewa if he doesn’t get his first this year.
“Give Robert Lewandowski the Ballon d’Or! If you don’t, then I am giving him mine,” said 1960 Ballon d’Or winner Luis Suarez.
1999 Ballon d’Or winner Rivaldo said: “Robert Lewandowski is the favorite to win the Ballon d’Or when it is awarded on 29 November. He would be a deserved winner”.
