Real Madrid and Barcelona are interested in Khvicha Kvaratskhelia as reported by Georgia national team coach Willy Sagnol.
Willy Sagnol, Georgia’s national team coach, has indicated that Real Madrid, Barcelona, and other major clubs are interested in one of his players. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, 22, has made headlines at Napoli, helping them win the Scudetto last season.
The daring winger has grabbed the Serie A public as well as the interest of European giants with his brilliant displays. During a news conference, Sagnol recently expressed his increased interest (via Football Italia):
“Kvaratskhelia plays in a top club like Napoli, but giants of the football world are interested in him now too, like Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich. Playing for these clubs is the dream for anyone. All players hope to one day wear a jersey like that and win important titles.”
The winger’s debut season in Italy was nothing short of spectacular, with 14 goals and 17 assists in 43 games. It was a genuinely extraordinary effort from the teenager, who led them to domestic triumph in Serie A while also guiding them deep into the Champions League knockout stages. Kvaratskhelia has three goals and five assists in 15 games this season.
Despite the circulating rumors from his Georgian manager, Kvaratskhelia’s contract with Napoli is set to expire in June 2027. Football Italia, on the other hand, has claimed that negotiations for an extension, potentially including a wage boost, are underway.
The Georgian’s value has skyrocketed since his transfer from Dinamo Batumi last summer, a deal that cost Napoli a modest €13.3 million plus add-ons.
Now, he is reportedly estimated to be worth at least €90 million in the transfer market due to his explosive impact on Italian football.
