Kazuyoshi Miura signed a year contract with Yokohama FC
The 53 year old Kazuyoshi Miura signed another one year contract with Yokohama FC. He is the oldest football player in history.
Miura made his professional debut at the age of 19 for Santos in 1986. This was the same year when Messi was born.
In 1994, he became the first Japanese player to play in Serie A. He retired from international football in 2000 having 55 goals in 89 matches.
Looks like Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Gianluigi Buffon are too far to compete with Miura. Zlatan, 39, and Gianluigi Buffon who will turn 43 this year are the oldest Serie A players currently.
