Kylian Mbappe appears to be close to making a decision about his future at Paris Saint-Germain, with Real Madrid and Liverpool previously linked with a move, and Jurgen Klopp has already spoken out on a transfer.
Jurgen Klopp has already categorically ruled out a Liverpool bid for Kylian Mbappe, as speculation about a possible transfer resurfaces.
For years, the French striker has been linked with a move to Anfield, and his future is once again being discussed. Mbappe’s contract expires at the end of the season, and he is now free to speak with other clubs about a Bosman transfer.
The striker has also stated that he is yet to make a choice regarding his future. While Liverpool remains linked, Klopp has already discounted the possibility of his club signing Mbappe.
“We laugh about it,” Klopp told Sky Germany in August following yet more links. “I can say that I think he’s a really good player but the financial conditions don’t suit us at all. I wouldn’t like to ruin the story now… but as far as I know, there’s nothing to it.
“It’s possible that someone else from the club is preparing something and wants to surprise me… that hasn’t happened in the eight years that I’ve been here. That would be the first time.”
While Liverpool do not look to be interested in signing Mbappe anytime soon, they have previously attempted to sign him. Mbappe said in 2022, “I talked to Liverpool because it’s the favourite club of my mum, my mum loves Liverpool.
“I don’t know why, you will have to ask her! It’s a good club and we met them five years ago. When I was in Monaco I met them. It’s a big club.”
Will Real Madrid Push For Mbappe?
Mbappe is presently having another fantastic season with PSG. He has 22 goals in 23 appearances for the French team, including a goal in their Trophee des Champions victory over Toulouse.
With Klopp seemingly ruling Liverpool out of the race, Real Madrid might potentially step in. The Spanish giants were close to signing Mbappe in the summer of 2022, only for the striker to sign a new contract in Paris.

Florentino Pérez was enraged by the decision and lashed out at the forward. However, Real’s interest continues. Carlo Ancelotti, on the other hand, has been tight-lipped regarding a possible deal.
The Italian coach replied to reporters after being asked about Mbappe: “I don’t recognise you, you must be one of the new ones who doesn’t know that I won’t speak about that [Mbappe]. I won’t touch on that topic.”
