Jurgen Klopp is angry with Mohamed Salah’s decision to join Al-Ittihad
According to rumours, Mo Salah has enraged Jurgen Klopp by exploring offers from Saudi Arabia this summer.
The Reds have previously experienced Saudi interest in their players, with Jordan Henderson and Fabinho departing for the Middle East this summer.
After losing Alexis MacAllister and Dominik Szoboszlai earlier in the transfer window, they returned to the transfer market for Wataru Endo.
And the last thing Liverpool needs is for another of their high-profile players to go before the deadline, notably Salah, who led the club in scoring last season with 33 goals in all competitions.
It seemed doubtful that Liverpool would authorize a trade for Salah thus close to the transfer window, but many sources claim that a deal is in the works.
According to Saudi Arabian daily Arriyadiyah, Al-Ittihad is ‘coming closer’ to signing Salah this summer and is ‘on the verge of a deal’ with Liverpool for the Egypt international.
Liverpool had ‘originally closed the door on Salah’s transfer’ but the Reds ‘opened informal discussions’ when the Saudi side recently returned because of the ‘huge financial offer offered’.
Salah ‘intended to finish his season’ at the Premier League club, but Liverpool’s “opening of the door to negotiations made him take the Saudi offer very seriously.”
Al-Ittihad is ‘fighting against time to persuade Salah and Liverpool to accept the huge deal’ before the Saudi transfer market closes on September 7.
Furthermore, according to the Italian outlet Sport Mediaset, Salah is ‘one step away’ from leaving the Premier League for Saudi Arabia.
They even go so far as to state that Salah ‘will partner up’ with Karim Benzema at Al-Ittihad, and that the Egyptian has ‘enraged’ Klopp by accepting the offer.
Al-Ittihad are willing to offer €100 million to convince Liverpool to sell Salah, and the 31-year-old has now ‘opened up to the prospect of a farewell’.

He has ‘gave the green light to Al Ittihad to contact the English club with an official proposition,’ which has ‘greatly upset’ Klopp because Liverpool’must hurry to find an alternative,’ according to the report.
According to Sport Mediaset, Klopp has picked Johan Bakayoko of PSV Eindhoven as the player he wants if Salah goes this summer because the 20-year-old is the proper ‘type’ of player.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport in Italy, Salah will earn €200 million over three years if he accepts Al-Ittihad’s €100 million offer, which means the Saudi club may spend €300 million (£257 million) on the Salah package.
