Juda Bellingham will be evaluated before Real Madrid’s Champions League match against Braga.
Jude Bellingham will be evaluated after injuring his shoulder in Real Madrid’s 1-1 draw with Rayo Vallecano.
After a poor display against their cross-city opponents, Carlo Ancelotti’s side was held to a goalless draw at home.
Bellingham played the entire 90 minutes but sustained a shoulder injury and was later spotted with extensive strapping on his left arm and chest.
Manager Carlo Ancelotti said that the 20-year-old would be evaluated before being ready to play in Real Madrid’s Champions League match against Braga.
“[Jude] Bellingham has a problem with his shoulder,” Ancelotti said. “He will undergo medical tests [on Monday] I hope he can play on Wednesday against Braga.”
Any injury to Bellingham would be devastating to Ancelotti’s team.
The 20-year-old has thrived since joining Barcelona from Borussia Dortmund in the summer, scoring ten league goals and succeeding in a more advanced role.
Bellingham received the Kopa Trophy, which is given to the best-performing player aged 21 or under, at the Ballon d’Or ceremony in Paris last week.
