Joan Laporta could sack Ronald Koeman at anytime
This is Barcelona’s one of the worst start of any season and fans are blaming Ronald Koeman for it. The board and the president both are not happy with his management skills at the club.
Barca is standing 8th at La Liga points table. In their last match, which was against Granada, Gerard Pique was seen playing in attacking area for over half the time.
Therefore, club president Joan Laporta has admitted that his patience is limited with the Dutch manager.
“Yes of course,” Laporta answered when asked about his intentions to replace Koeman. “We’re in a difficult moment. I think we should have a lot of serenity and wait for a good result tomorrow against Cádiz because that’s what interests us- situations which you overcome with results.
We will move forward and keep fighting. We’ll get the ball on the ground. What’s important is that tomorrow we play well.”
“We found out at the last minute that he (Ronald Koeman) wanted to make a statement,” Laporta continued. “He’s obliged to attend press conferences and he’s free to respond or speak as he wishes.
We respect the coach’s decision and he’s free to respond or speak as he wishes.”
Lionel Messi’s departure from the club has really affected its fate. The fact is, Barcelona needs him more than he needs them.
Barcelona will face Cadiz on Friday and will try to regain their top form as soon possible. However, if things go wrong more further, Laporte will see no obstacles in replacing the Dutchman immediately.
