Jesse Lingard is looking unstoppable this season

On Sunday, West Ham United defeated Leicester City 3-2, thanks to Jesse Lingard’s brace and Jarod Bowen’s goal in the second half.

Leicester tried their best. Their striker Kelechi Iheanacho scored a brace in the second half but still didn’t manage to win the game.

However, Lingard is looking unstoppable this season. His loan transfer to West Ham seems a perfect deal for ‘The Hammers’. Lingard’s stats this season are unreal:

  • 9 games
  • 8 goals
  • 4 assists

Manchester United sent Lingard to West Ham on a loan deal. He will play for West Ham till 31st May, 2021 and after that, his loan contract will expire.

It’s possible that West Ham may sign Lingard after the end of his loan. Lingard lacked some confidence in Man Utd before going to West Ham in January 2021.

On the other side, Man Utd might not sell Lingard this season after his contract expires. He is looking great in form and it’s a good news for Man Utd’s attack.

Though Edison Cavani is fulfilling the gaps left by Lingard this season, his presence in the team would affect Man Utd’s attack in the upcoming seasons.

Lingard was called by his national side for the FIFA World Cup European Qualifiers and he proved himself to be one of the main players for England.
