Endrick, a future Real Madrid player, has been called up to the senior Brazilian national team for the first time in his career, joining Rodrygo and Vinicius.

Endrick, a Palmeiras attacker set to join Real Madrid in 2024, has been named to Brazil’s national team squad for forthcoming games against Argentina and Colombia.

The 17-year-old, who just made 50 appearances for the Brazilian club, has received his first senior call-up from manager Fernando Diniz, who also trains Fluminense, the current Copa Libertadores champions.

“He has the potential to be one of top players. His call-up is an award, also glimpse into the future as a boy born in 2006 producing what he does catches my attention” stated Brazil manager Tite.

Endrick has had a roller coaster year, but his most recent effort for Palmeiras, who are second in the Brasileiro, was memorable, as he scored a sixth-minute winner against Athletico Paranaense. This goal followed Endrick’s performance against Botafogo, in which he scored two goals on two shots in a 3-4 victory.

He has eight goals in 25 games this season, surpassing his XG (expected goals) by more than two. Real Madrid has been in frequent touch with the athlete through various club delegates, all in an effort to ease the kid’s future transition to Spain.
