According to FIFA, Brazil is currently the best footballing nation in the world followed by Belgium and France on second and third place respectively.
Italy won the 2020 UEFA Euro trophy but they have failed to qualify for the upcoming FIFA World Cup, reportedly to be held in October and November.

After defeating North Macedonia 2-0 in the knockout stage, Portugal have qualified for the tournament. This will be Cristiano Ronaldo’s 5th World Cup since his debut in 2005.
