According to media reports, WWE is in talks with Cristiano Ronaldo about participating in their ‘Crown Jewel’ event in Saudi Arabia
According to rumors, Cristiano Ronaldo will be a part of a WWE event in Saudi Arabia after establishing himself as one of the best footballers in the world with his amazing skills and incredible goal-scoring prowess.
Though it is unclear in what capacity Ronaldo will be seen, the athlete will be compensated handsomely for his appearance.
For those who don’t remember, the 38-year-old footballer joined Saudi Arabia’s Al Nassr after leaving Manchester United. In 31 games for the Riyadh-based club, he has already scored 27 goals. Scroll down to learn more about his WWE appearance.
According to Mirror, WWE is now negotiating a deal to have Cristiano Ronaldo perform at their Crown Jewel event on November 4 in Saudi Arabia.
According to the AS report, the professional wrestling business wants the Al-Nassr forward to appear as a superstar guest at the wrestling event.
WWE’s majority-owned company, Endeavor Group Holdings, is eager to increase Crown Jewel’s excitement and possible revenue by adding Cristiano Ronaldo to the event.
According to the story, the former Manchester United footballer would most likely be given a large appearance fee to attend the event. Details are being kept under wraps by Endeavour, who also owns the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).
Cristiano Ronaldo will not be the first non-wrestler to be invited to a WWE event.
Previously, Ronda Rousey, Wayne Rooney, Grant Holt, Tim Wiese, Wycombe Wanderers, and Mike Tyson competed in various wrestling matches around the world. Ronaldo’s presence will almost certainly increase the event’s earnings.
Endeavour, which plans to revolutionize wrestling after securing a merger with UFC in April, is also in talks to reintroduce Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson to the ring.
