Cristiano Ronaldo has equaled Ali Daei’s international goal record
Portugal have qualified for the knockout stage even after playing a 2-2 draw with France. The reason behind that draw was none other than Cristiano Ronaldo.
Ronaldo scored two goals against France and equalized the record of 109 international goals by Iran’s Ali Daei. He is now just a goal away from breaking another record worth to notice by the world.
Earlier this tournament, the 36 year old became the top scorer in UEFA euro history. He broke Michel Platini’s 9 goals record and has scored 13 goals until now.
Cristiano is currently the top scorer of Euro 2020 with 4 goals scored so far. Portugal will play against Belgium in the RO16 knockout stage.
But how did Portugal qualified for the knockout stage? They reached the ‘Top 4 best 3rd placed teams’ table which took them a step ahead to their probable second Euro trophy.
