Sports Desk – Cristiano Ronaldo (CR7) became the second man to score 100 international goals, hitting the landmark for Portugal in Tuesday’s UEFA Nations League match against Sweden.

Juventus forward Ronaldo is now just nine goals behind Iranian Ali Daei, who holds the world-record for most international goals (109) for his country.
Ronaldo has made individual accolades a trademark of his career and after hitting the 101-goal milestone will be desperate to beat Daei’s record.
Ronaldo last scored for Portugal in November 2019 against Luxembourg and ended his wait with a delightful free-kick from outside the box.
The 35 year-old Cristiano goal was also the 57th of his career from a direct free-kick and the 10th in his nation’s colours.
