Argentina looked to get a foothold in Copa America Group B when they faced Uruguay in Brasília.
Argentina faced Uruguay in their second group stage match of Copa America 2021. A win by a goal lead took them to the first spot of the group stage points table.
Assisted by Leo Messi, the goal was scored by Guido Rodriguez in 13th minute. Though Uruguay had more possession, Argentina managed to take more shots (9).
Messi’s side played a 1–1 draw with Chile in their opening match, taking a point for their campaign run.
