In response to rumors that the captain of Manchester United was linked to Al Nassr, Bruno Fernandes has previously expressed his candid opinion on playing alongside Cristiano Ronaldo.
At Euro 2024, Ronaldo and Fernandes will probably team up once more on the field for Portugal, with Ronaldo aiming to win his second Euros in as many years as his first.
After the competition, the two Portuguese players might be returning to their clubs, as stunning rumors have it that Fernandes might join Al Nassr.
Ronaldo has pushed Al Nassr to sign United captain Bruno Fernandes this summer, as the Daily Mirror revealed.
They reportedly want to pay between £80 and £90 million to entice the Portuguese midfielder to Saudi Arabia.
The report stated: “Ronaldo is understood to have urged his club to move for Fernandes, who held a meeting with United last week to discuss his future and the club’s ambitions going forward.”
Fernandes’ Honest Feelings on Ronaldo
Fernandes has previously expressed his opinions about playing alongside Ronaldo for the team and the nation rather clearly.
Speaking back in October, Fernandes said: “Do I have the notion that I’m playing alongside a history maker? No, I don’t have a notion, I have the certainty! We’re all aware of it.”
“We all understand the force and impact that Ronaldo has, the force and the impact that Ronaldo has had on the future of many of us Portuguese players, the opportunities that he’s created for the future generations of players, the way others began to look at Portugal,” he continued.
“They already had started looking at us with more respect, but everything that Ronaldo achieved meant our name was more feared, and obviously we are grateful to have lived in this era, because it was a privilege for us to watch Cristiano play and at the same time I had the chance to play alongside him,” Fernandes concluded.
29-year-old Fernandes still has two years left on his United contract.

Because of this, moving away from Old Trafford could be difficult, but Al Nassr has the financial resources. Fernandes has been one of the few shining lights in an otherwise gloomy season for Erik ten Hag and United.
This season, he has made 45 appearances in all competitions, tallying 15 goals and dishing out 11 assists.
