The Club’s trophy cabinet now has four consecutive titles and a fifth Spanish Super Cup! At a packed Butarque Muncipal stadium in Leganes, the tournament’s host city, Barça Women trounced Real Madrid Femenino 5-0 in the season’s second El Clásico.
With goals from Graham Hansen, Pajor (2), Patri, and Alexia, the blaugranes put on a spectacular display to defeat the Madrid team in front of President Joan Laporta and Director in charge of women’s football Xavier Puig. In the final, Patri was also chosen MVP.
Following the team’s 3-0 victory over Atletico Madrid in the semi-finals, coach Pere Romeo made two substitutions: Rolfö and Graham Hansen replaced Brugts and Paralluelo.
The Catalan team hopes to duplicate last year’s quadruple, which included winning Liga F, the Copa de la Reina, and the Champions League. The Supercopa is the first of four medals available to Barça this season.
Madrid, on the other hand, was hoping to win their first trophy since acquiring CD Tacon in 2020, but they lost to a far better Barça team once more. Although this was the first time in a final, the two clubs have now faced each other 16 times throughout all tournaments, with Barça winning each time.
On Sunday, Pere Romeu’s team dominated from the beginning at Leganés. Graham Hansen’s deflected strike fooled Misa Rodríguez in the Madrid goal, opening the floodgates after VAR disallowed Pajor’s early attempt.

Then, just before halftime, Polish attacker Pajor scored twice in quick succession, first via a pull-back from Ona Battle and then from a Graham Hansen corner. Just after the hour, Guijarro’s goal—which was the best of the bunch—went into the top corner from 20 yards out, and captain Putellas added the fifth goal in the last five minutes.
At the end of March, Barça and Madrid will play again in Liga F. Barça leads Los Blancos by 11 points at the top of the table, and there may be further Clásico matches in other competitions. Both teams have advanced to the Champions League and Copa de la Reina quarterfinals.
