Joao Cancelo might become a Barcelona player as they seem interested in the Portuguese forward
According to renowned Italian writer Rudy Galetti, Barcelona is interested in Joao Cancelo. And the Catalan giants are close to obtaining the 29-year-old Premier League winner’s services. Meanwhile, the Manchester City defender has already agreed to terms with Barcelona.
Throughout his career, Joao Cancelo has represented some of the world’s most well-known clubs. The Portuguese international has played for Valencia, Inter Milan, Juventus, Manchester City, and Bayern Munich, among other clubs. And, for the most part, he has been terrific during his time with the Premier League champions.
The 29-year-old has made over 150 appearances for Man City, scoring nine goals and providing 22 assists. However, Cancelo’s future at the English club is questionable following a run-in with Pep Guardiola earlier this year. Several high-profile clubs, notably Barcelona, have expressed interest in the scenario.
Barcelona will sign a new right-back this summer, according to Joan Laporta, who leaked the news a few months ago. However, the Catalan giants have yet to address the issue, despite having identified many possibilities to strengthen their position.
