Atletico Madrid is currently sitting at sixth position in La Liga and their boss Diego Simeone is probably one of the most cunning guys ever. He has found out a way to keep Antoine Griezmann at the club for free.

Griezmann left Barcelona this season after serving them for two good seasons. He has made a comeback to his beloved club Atletico Madrid but not for free. As per terms, they still have to pay Barca €40 million in order to complete the deal.

However if Atletico plays the French international for less than 30 minutes per game, the purchase clause in his loan will not become mandatory.

For people wondering, the extra/additional time doesn’t come into account. The contract’s clause only counts for regular 90 minutes of football.
