Antonio Conte started Juventus’ dominance in 2012 and ended it in 2021
Inter Milan won the Serie A title for the first time after 11 years. They last won the trophy in 2009 when Jose Mourinho was incharge.
In 2011, AC Milan won the title. After it, Juventus’ Serie A dominance started. Antonio Conte was the man who helped Juve to win their first title of the decade.
Let us tell you an interesting fact. Juve’s manager Andrea Pirlo was still a player when Conte was appointed as Juve’s coach in 2012.
The story continued and Juve kept on winning the Scudetto for 9 consecutive years (it’s about a decade). In 2019, Conte was appointed as Inter’s coach.
In 2019, Inter finished on 4th position on Serie A points table with 69 points. Conte tried to change Inter’s gameplay an it really worked.
Inter finished on second spot with 82 points in 2019-20 season. In 2020, Juve saw their last Serie A title of their 9 years streak.
Finally in 2021, Inter finished at the top of the league table with 13 points more than any of the team in the Italian league. What a turnaround by Conte!
In Juve’s 9 year win streak, 6 managers were sacked and replaced by the club. Conte was the first of them who was replaced by Massimo Carrera in 2012.
Andrea Pirlo is the current manager of Juventus. He has not been that great as it was expected but he still manages the team to qualify for 2021/22 UEFA Champions League.
