Al Nassr has signed Portuguese midfielder Otavio and Spanish defender Aymeric Laporte
After agreeing a £25 million fee with Manchester City, Aymeric Laporte is likely to sign a three-year contract with Saudi Pro League team Al-Nassr.
The 29-year-old defender has accepted a salary of £20 million to join Cristiano Ronaldo at the club. His physical has been scheduled, and provided no problems develop, he will formally join Al-Nassr.
Since joining Manchester City for £57 million in January 2018, Laporte has built an incredible collection of medals, including five Premier Leagues, two FA Cups, three League Cups, and the Champions League.
However, the Spain international was an unused substitute in the treble-clinching Champions League final against Inter in June, and he appeared in just 12 league games last season.
This summer’s acquisition of Croatian defender Josko Gvardiol from RB Leipzig for £77.6 million moved Laporte further down the pecking order, precipitating his departure from the Premier League.
Al Nassr Has Signed Cristiano Ronaldo’s national teammate Otavio
Al-Nassr has agreed to pay €60 million for FC Porto player Otávio. After impressing in Portugal for several years, Otávio has piqued the curiosity of several clubs this summer, including Inter, Juventus, Newcastle, and even Manchester United.
With two years remaining on his contract, Porto knew it would be difficult to keep the player, which is exactly what happened when Al-Nassr knocked on the door.
After submitting a €60 million bid, Al-Nassr secured an agreement with FC Porto, a record sale for the Portuguese giants, who had signed Otávio for barely €2.5 million in 2014.
According to SportKSA, Otávio has agreed to a three-year contract with Al-Nassr that will pay him €15 million per season.
Al-Nassr’s net spending will rise to €138 million this summer, following signings for Sadio Mane, Seko Fofana, Marcelo Brozovic, and Alex Telles.
The club is reportedly expected to sign Manchester City defender Aymeric Laporte for a rumored €30 million cost.
