The Saudi Pro League is reportedly making a massive, life-altering offer to Brentford striker Ivan Toney.

Before his contract expires after the season, Toney has been strongly predicted to leave the Bees this summer. West Ham and Spurs were both linked, but their interest waned after they were able to sign other targets.

Chelsea and Manchester United are reportedly still interested, according to reports, and Brentford has lowered their transfer valuation from £100 million to £60 million.

One possible arrangement that has been rumoured is a loan with a buy-back obligation, although Toney is also allegedly the focus of a lucrative transaction from Saudi Arabia.

Clubs in Saudi Arabia have not overspent this summer, in contrast to last summer, and there haven’t been many high-profile additions.

Toney, however, is reportedly a target for Al-Ahli, a Saudi team that also includes Riyad Mahrez, Roberto Firmino, Franck Kessie, and Gabri Veiga. This information comes from Santi Aouna of Foot Mercato.

Al Ahli is reportedly willing to give Toney a huge pay boost of £15 million annually.

The England international has been offered a three-year contract, which means that if he plays in the Middle East, he could earn an incredible £45 million.

Toney’s weekly salary would increase significantly from his Brentford salary to almost £300,000. Many thought Toney was going to leave when Brentford paid a club record £30 million to sign striker Igor Thiago.

Thomas Frank, the manager of Brentford, is still optimistic that Toney will stay at the Gtech Community Stadium.

“So far, he’s still a Brentford player,” he told Sky Sports.

“I think we’re getting closer and closer to the reality that he is actually a Brentford player.

“I’m getting more and more excited because he’s a top player and I love working with Ivan. We’ve got a fantastic relationship. That’s why I think he will be a Brentford player after the deadline.”
