What is the reason for Tom Curran being banned in BBL?
Tom Curran plays for Sydney Sixers in the Big Bash League and on 21st December he was handed a ban of 4 games for getting involved in arguments with the umpires. Before the game against Hobart Hurricanes, in a practice session, the 28-year-old English star engaged in an argument with the umpires about running on the restricted area of the pitch.
As per the rules, players with spikes are not allowed to run on the pitch and only coaches and captains are allowed to visit the site. Tom has been charged with a Level 3 offense of the Cricket Australia Code of Conduct. After the video became public, he breached into the restricted area of the pitch in his long-running practice sessions.
