Left-arm spin all-rounder, Axar Patel has won the player of the series award in the India – Australia T20I series. He came as a substitute for Ravindra Jadeja but his determination and hard work have worked for him and now, he is one of the most important players for team India in the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022.

Gujarat-born, Axar Patel made his international debut in the year 2014 and since then he has played 44 ODIs and 30 T20Is. Axar was also included in the Indian test team against England in 2021 and since then he has been a regular member of the Indian squad. Axar will travel with team India for the upcoming T20 world cup. He was included in the squad by players of the Asia Cup but he could not make it to the playing 11.
Following Jadeja’s injury, he is now the most important spin all-rounder of the Indian team. In the recent home series against Australia, he was outstanding with the ball. He clinched 8 wickets and also won the player of the series award for his performance. Since his debut, Axar has had 53 wickets in ODIs and 30 wickets in T20Is. He was never a regular player in the Indian team but now after Jadeja’s injury, he will play a very important role in the team.

The past few months have gone very well for him. He performed with both bat and ball. He clinched wickets in almost all the matches he played also he was very economical. Batting is something that we cannot compare with Ravindra Jadeja but Axar has proved himself in that aspect too. He won the match against West Indies with his outstanding innings. Axar is a left-handed player and he will play an important role for team India in the upcoming world cup.
