Hardik Pandya, who suffer an injury on his left ankle during the match against Bangladesh in Pune, won’t be travelling with the team to Dharamsala ahead of their match against New Zealand.
Go through with scans to his injured ankle, the all-rounder has been advised to take rest and “will be under the constant management of the BCCI Medical Team”. He is ready to re-join the team in Lucknow where India face England.
During the first over of Pandya – the ninth of Bangladesh’s innings – Pandya appeared to twist his ankle while trying to stop a shot with his foot. After this he was taken for scans and did not take further part in the match.
Till now India have won all their four matches in the World Cup and are second on the points table, behind New Zealand who are ahead on net run rate.
