In the second home match of Delhi Capitals against Kolkata Knight Riders at Vizag, KKR debuted a young Indian uncapped batsman named Angrish Raghuvanshi. The youngster was amazing on his debut as he scored a fifty in the first match of his IPL career. In this article we will tell you more about Angrish Raghuvanshi and what makes him special.
KKR brought Angrish Raghuvanshi in the 2024 IPL auction at his base price of 20 Lakhs. They included him in the match against RCB but the match was over before his batting. KKR played their next game against Delhi on 3rd April in Vizag. Raghuvanshi got a chance to play in top order where he introduced himself to the world. He scored a Firey fifty against Delhi. He made 54 off 27 balls and made a fantastic partnership with Sunil Narine which ultimately helped KKR win that match by a huge margin.
Angrish Raghuvanshi is only 18 years old and is originally from Delhi. At the very young age of 11, he shifted to Mumbai and decided to settle in Mumbai. Raghuvanshi represented India in the 2022 Under-19 World Cup. He was India’s highest run scorer in the tournament. Even after facing a two-ball duck against England in the finals, he finished at fourth in the highest run-getters list. In Mumbai, he was trained by Abhishek Nayar and Omkar Salvi. He started his List A and domestic T20 career for Mumbai in the 2023-2024 season.

He was outstanding for Mumbai in the CK Naydu Trophy. Where he made over 700+ runs in the season. Angrish Raghuvanshi is a very talented and young player. He showed glimpses of his batting against Delhi. Raghuvanshi is part of the cricketers who are considered future stars of the Indian cricket team.
